Organization

The Runosong Academy is maintained by the Runosong Academy Support Association. The chairman of the association is Professor Emeritus Heikki Laitinen. The practical operations of the Runosong Academy are led by MuT Pekka Huttu-Hiltunen. His key responsibilities include the general management of research, recording, and development activities, establishing and maintaining international collaborations, and planning and coordinating research projects.

Over the years, several researcher-musicians have been involved in the different projects of the Runosong Academy. More permanent among them have been MuT Maari Kallberg and FM Janne Seppänen. The employment situation is dependent on project funding.

In recent years, Kaarina Malinen has served as the office secretary of the Runosong Academy.
