Preservation
The preservation of musical traditions is a central activity of the Rune Singing Academy.
At present, we have archived approximately 600 hours of audio and video recordings in the Juminkeko sound archive. These recordings contain invaluable traditions and knowledge from people who experienced their childhood and youth in the early 20th century.
Basic information about the recordings can be browsed in the search program of the Juminkeko archive, and the recordings themselves can be made available for research use by submitting a request to the archive.
